Tzatziki
Tzatziki is a cucumber dip that originated in Greece. It is most often served as an addition to grilled meat dishes. It can also be eaten with vegetables and bread. The basis of tzatziki are fresh cucumbers to which garlic and Greek joghurt are added. Other frequently used ingredients include olive oil, dill and lemon juice.

Ingredients for Tzatziki.
- 500 g salad cucumber
- 3 big garlic cloves
- 1 teaspoon of dill (fresh or dry)
- 1,5 teaspoon of salt
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- 450 ml Greek joghurt
How to make Tzatziki.
Peel the cucumbers, grate them on a large-mesh grater and put them in a bowl. Add 1 teaspoon of salt, mix and set aside for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, pour out the cucumber juice. Then add 1/2 teaspoon of salt, finely chopped dill, minced garlic, lemon juice and Greek yogurt. Mix well. Let the dip stand for a few minutes before serving.

Good to know when making Tzatziki.
You can replace the Greek yogurt with a mixture of sour cream and natural yogurt in a 50/50 ratio.
If you do not want the tzatziki to be too watery, remove the pulp from the cucumbers before grating.
