Waldorf salad
Waldorf Salad is a salad made from a combination of fruits, nuts, celery, mayonnaise and baby gem lettuce.
The fruits most commonly used for this salad are apples and grapes. It is usually served as an appetiser, main course and also as a snack at special events.
When I was making my Waldorf salad, I completely gave up apples. I substituted them with chicken ham 🙂 In addition, I also added Stilton cheese and sweet corn. My version of “Waldorf salad” turned out to be very nice 🙂

Good to know when making Waldorf salad.
You can add apples to the salad. If you do, choose a type, which is not too hard and has an acidic taste.
You may serve the salad with bread, crackers or just simply eat it by itself.
As for meats, chicken ham works best for me in salads. I would not use any other type of ham.
