Sweet potato and broccoli casserole
Casserole is an oven-baked dish. The ingredients for a casserole are layered or mixed together and baked, usually with sauce and often with cheese as well. Casserole can be made only from vegetables but can have meat added to it as well.
What sauce should you use when making casserole? Here, the selection is quite broad, because tomato sauce, béchamel, cheese sauce, cream, garlic sauce and many others will all work well with both vegetables and meat.
In the casserole, for which you can find the recipe below, I combined sweet potatoes and broccoli with milk and cream. I seasoned the casserole with garlic and thyme. I encourage you to prepare this dish and serve it either for lunch or dinner.

What to serve a sweet potato and broccoli casserole with? The casserole tastes very good on its own, without any garnish, especially when you want a fairly light dish. Served as an addition, it works best with roasted chicken thighs and minced meat. It can also be served with rice, groats or couscous.
