Green salad
Green salad is a combination of vegetables, fruits, nuts and cheese, with green colours. The basis of this light salad is iceberg lettuce, which is arranged with fruits such as apple and pear, gorgonzola cheese, and chopped pistachio nuts. This tasty salad can be served both for lunch and dinner. It is equally good as a snack served during the day. Since the salad is based on fresh ingredients that do not require cooking, baking or frying, its preparation takes 10 minutes. Therefore, it is an ideal salad for working days, such as when you do not have much time for cooking and want to prepare a tasty meal quickly. So if you like the combination of cheese with fruit and lettuce, I encourage you to check the following recipe for a green salad, and please enjoy.

Ingredients for green salad.
- 100 g Gorgonzola cheese
- 250 g iceberg salad
- 1/4 teaspoon of herbal pepper
- 1/2 flat teaspoon of salt
- juice of 1/2 lime
- 200 g Granny Smith apple

- 15 g chopped pistachios

How to make a green salad.
Cut the iceberg lettuce into large cubes or wide strips, cut the gorgonzola into large cubes or tear it into smaller pieces in your hands. Cut the apple and pear into large cubes and finely chop the pistachios. Pour the agave syrup into a bowl, add the olive oil, lime juice, salt and herbal pepper. Mix it. Arrange the chopped ingredients on a larger serving plate, one on top of the other, then pour the dressing from the bowl over it and mix gently.

Good to know when making green salad.
You can use any other kind of apple in this salad, not only Granny Smith, although that might change the colour of the salad. I don’t peel either the apple or the pear before adding them to the salad.
The agave syrup can be replaced with liquid honey, for example, acacia or flower honey.
