Brussels sprouts in cheese sauce with bacon and pistachios

Brussels sprouts are a vegetable loved by some and not so much by others. I suspect that those who are not its big fans must have tried it inappropriately prepared at some point and hence their aversion to this very healthy vegetable. There are several ways to prepare brussels sprouts, the most popular of which are cooking and baking them in the oven. In both cases, the form of preparation is very simple and the amount of additives used is generally minimal. However, you can diversify roasted brussels sprouts with additions that, in my opinion, completely change their taste. Such additions include chestnuts and bacon, both very popular ingredients, especially in the Christmas version of brussels sprouts.

Another interesting way to prepare brussels sprouts is to prepare them with bacon, herbs, pistachios and cheese sauce. First, I fry the brussels sprouts in a pan with bacon, butter and herbs, and then finish baking them in the oven. Before putting them in the oven, I add cream, grated parmesan cheese and pistachio nuts to the baked brussels sprouts. Brussels sprouts prepared in such a way are a great addition to grilled meats, although I usually serve them as a stand-alone dish with bread. I encourage you to try the recipe for brussels sprouts in cheese sauce with bacon and pistachios and I please enjoy.

Remove the pan from the heat, add grated parmesan, cream and pistachios, then put the pan in the oven preheated to 190 degrees Celsius for 15 minutes.
