Club sandwich
A sandwich is a simple snack that can be served for breakfast, dinner or lunch. It contains bread, with other additions such as meat, vegetables, cheese or something sweet e.g. jam.
I personally associate sandwiches with school, because that’s when I mostly ate sandwiches 🙂
I rarely prepare sandwiches at home these days. For breakfast, I usually eat scrambled eggs, cheese spreads, sausages, various cold meats or sweet rolls. I also often make random breakfast dishes and eat those. So, anytime when there is an opportunity to munch a delicious sandwich, I go for it.
The recipe below is for sandwiches that I made the other for dinner – you can do that too 🙂 It was not such an ordinary sandwich, because it consisted of three slices of bread, delicious crispy bacon, vegetables and turkey ham. Such a sandwich is a good idea not only for breakfast or dinner, but it also works well as a party snack.

Ingredients for club sandwich.
- 8 long strips of raw bacon
- 12 slices of toast bread
- 150 g slices of turkey meat
- 6 tablespoons of mayonnaise
- 6 teaspoons of mustard
- small head of lettuce (100 g)
- 1 big tomato (or a few cocktail tomatoes)
How to make club sandwich.
Place the slices of bread on a baking sheet, put it in an oven preheated to 180 degrees Celsius for 3 minutes. After that, turn them over and bake for another 2 minutes.
Cut the lettuce into wide strips and slice the tomato.
Put the slices of bacon on a non-sticky pan. Fry them over a medium heat until golden brown on both sides.
Assembling the sandwich: put the first slice of bread on a plate and brush it with mustard. Put the bacon and lettuce on the mustard and cover with the second slice of bread spread with mustard from the inner side. Cover the top of that slice with mayonnaise, put turkey and tomato slices on it. Cover with a third slice of bread spread with mayonnaise on the inner side.

Good to know when making club sandwich with turkey.
I used creamy mustard Russian type. You can use Dijon, English or French mustard.
I bought turkey already sliced. The slices were thin, that is why I could put quite a few of them in the sandwich.
From the given amount of ingredients, you can make four sandwiches in total.
