Green asparagus tart
Asparagus with Parmesan cheese and walnuts, baked on puff pastry is a great idea if you wish to make a quick snack. This tart only requires 30 minutes in the oven as green asparagus bakes pretty fast. You can serve this asparagus tart for breakfast, snack or supper. It does not need any addition of sauce as asparagus is soft and juicy enough once it’s baked.

You can either buy or make your own puff pastry. If you wish to make puff pastry at home, you can find a recipe for it here.
Remove the puff pastry from the fridge and put it on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Thoroughly prick it with a fork in several places and brush it with beaten egg. Afterwards, sprinkle half of the grated Parmesan cheese and half of the chopped walnuts on it evenly.
Wash the asparagus, remove the tough part and cut the soft bits into smaller pieces. Place the sliced asparagus on the pastry and sprinkle the remaining cheese and walnuts on top of it. Finally, season it with salt.
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius and put the tart in. Bake the asparagus tart for 30 minutes.
