Rice salad with crab sticks

The salad is seasoned with curry, sweet paprika and must be accompanied by mayonnaise and yoghurt.
This salad with crab sticks is great for unexpected guests, because it can be made in less than 25 minutes. All you really need to cook is the rice, and while it is cooking, you can cut the remaining ingredients. Cool the cooked rice – it will cool down the fastest when spread in a thin layer on a large plate or tray. Combine the cooled rice with the remaining ingredients and the salad is ready. Ingredients for rice salad with crab sticks.
- 250 g canned sweetcorn
- 150 g pickles
- 250 g cooked rice
- 50 g red onion
- 250 g imitation crab sticks
- 150 g mayonnaise
- 100 g natural yoghurt
- 1/2 teaspoon of curry spice
- 1/2 teaspoon of sweet paprika powder
- 3/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground pepper
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice

How to make rice salad with crab sticks.
Remove the crab sticks from their package, remove the foil from each individual stick, then cut the sticks into one-centimetre-wide pieces. Remove the pickles from the jar and cut them into small cubes, along with the peel on them. Cut the peeled red onion into small cubes as well. Put the cooked rice, canned sweetcorn, crab sticks, red onion, pickles, lemon juice, salt, pepper, sweet paprika, curry, yoghurt, and mayonnaise in a bowl, then mix thoroughly. Keep the salad in the fridge before serving.

In this salad, you can use white or brown rice. After cooking, the rice should be cooled before adding it to the salad. Cook the rice according to the instructions on its packaging.
