Feta stuffed mushrooms
Stuffed mushrooms with feta cheese. This is the last appetizer I’ve recently made.
Best for stuffing are Portobello mushrooms.
I bought some in a local shop. Of course, you can use smaller mushrooms, but then you will have more work to do.
There is a great variety of filling we can use. The simplest one is probably made with plain cheese and bread crumbs. There are also those, which are prepared only from parsley and butter. As a stuffing we can also use bacon and cheese or spinach.
This time I chose to stuff them with feta cheese, for which the recipe you will find below.

- 1 teaspoon of fresh oregano
- 1 egg

How to prepare feta stuffed mushrooms.
Clean the mushrooms hats or peel them off. If they are well cleaned, there is no need to peel them off.
Mix the feta cheese cut into cubes, finely chopped onion, fresh oregano, egg, breadcrumbs and a pinch of white pepper.
Fill each mushroom hat with the stuffing. Bake in an oven heated to 180 degrees Celsius for 25 minutes.
Enjoy!

Good to know when making mushrooms stuffed with cheese.
This dish can be served on lettuce or with sauce, for e.g. peppercorn.
