White sausage baked with onion, apple and beer is a dish that works well when served for dinner. After baking, the sausage is juicy inside with a delicate aftertaste of apples, beer and thyme. The sausage skin is slightly browned and crispy. I use raw sausage. I do not scald it or precook it before baking, it is not necessary. I serve the baked white sausage with horseradish and bread. Baked white sausage is equally good when served with creamy mashed potatoes. Bake for a total of 50 minutes, after the first 20 minutes of baking, remove the aluminium foil, turn the sausage over and continue baking for another 30 minutes.
