Broad bean paste
A simple broad bean paste that works great with bread, grilled meat, fresh and grilled vegetables. Thanks to mixing the ingredients, the consistency of this paste is creamy and delicate, and the whole thing literally melts in your mouth.
I start the preparation of the vegan broad bean paste by cooking frozen broad beans. Before cooking broad beans, I do not defrost, put them in a pot, pour water and cook until soft. The broad beans must be well soft, because after they cool down, I mix them with olive oil, garlic and salt. The paste itself is seasoned only with garlic and a pinch of salt, but I serve it with additions that perfectly emphasize its simple taste. I serve the broad bean paste with pomegranate seeds, sesame seeds and additional olive oil combined with parsley.

Ingredients for broad bean paste.
- 400 g frozen broad bean
- 100 ml olive oil
- 1 small clove of garlic
- 1/4-1/2 (flat) teaspoon of salt
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
Additionally:
- 2 tablespoons of pomegranate seeds
- 1 teaspoon of sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon of chopped parsley
- 1,5 tablespoon of olive oil

How to make broad bean paste.
Put the broad beans in a pot, pour water, bring it to a boil and cook it over a low heat according to the instructions on their package. Pour the cooked broad beans into a colander, pour cold water and cool them down. Remove the skin from the cold broad beans and put the flesh in a tall container. Add olive oil, lemon juice, salt, then mix. Put the broad bean paste on a plate, pour the olive oil combined with parsley, sprinkle with sesame seeds and pomegranate seeds.

I cooked the frozen broad beans that I used to prepare this paste for 15 minutes.
The weight of the broad beans after removing the slate is 320 g.
The paste can also be prepared from fresh beans. Cooking time depends mainly on their size and can take from 6 minutes upwards.
