I got the below recipe from a friend 18 years ago. To this day, this salad is one of my favourite tuna salads. Certainly many of you are familiar with the combination of tuna with pineapple and sweetcorn. Most often this mix can be found on pizza. However, if you do not fancy this combo on a pizza but otherwise like these flavours, put them in a salad instead.
When preparing this salad, you will not get tired from cutting the ingredients too much as there is not much cutting or slicing involved in the process. When buying pineapple, go for the canned one. Sweetcorn or tuna do not need to be cut of course, and as for the rice, it is sufficient to cook it.
Make this sald to see for yourself how easy it really is to prepare.

How to make tuna and pineapple salad.
Cook the rice until soft – this should take around 10 minutes. Once cooked, let the rice cool down. Place the boiled rice, tuna with its brine drained, diced pineapple and sweetcorn into a bowl. The pineapple and corn should also be drained beforehand.
Season the ingredients with salt, black pepper, cream and mayonnaise. Mix it thoroughly, so that the ingredients are well combined. Store the salad in the fridge.

Good to know when making tuna and pineapple salad.
I used unpacked rice but you can also opt for packed rice. If you choose the latter, cook it according to the instructions on its package.
If you cook unpackaged rice, use a ratio of 3 to 1 ratio of water to rice. Put the rice on boiling water and keep it on medium heat for 10 minutes from the moment of boiling. Don’t forget to stir the rice from time to time.
I used tuna in water brine. You can also use tuna in oil or in its own marinade.

Would sour cream and chives be ok to use instead of mayonnaise?
