Coleslaw is a cabbage slaw probably well known to everyone. You can prepare it from white cabbage only, or combine white cabbage with red cabbage, or even make it from Chinese cabbage. In addition to the cabbage, onion, carrot and often apple are also added to this slaw. There is nothing stopping you from combining vegetables other than these abovementioned. One of the vegetables that works well in this slaw is white radish, which tastes like a red radish but is milder. This vegetable is low in calories, which makes it suitable for many diets. I use white radish primarily in slaws, which is why I use it mainly in raw form. Coleslaw with radish is a great addition to the following meat dishes:
- baked pork neck
- pork heart goulash
- roasted spicy chicken legs
- baked drumsticks in bacon
- roasted duck with apples
