Seafood pasta

Seafood pasta

There was a period in my life when I was not a big fan of pasta.

I ate it but not with passion, really 🙂

I do not know when it has all changed because now I love it 🙂

The fact that pasta dishes are very quick to prepare means a great deal to me now .

Sometimes when I come back home from work and don’t have much time to cook, a quick pasta dish is perfect 🙂

Today I have for you the following pasta, which is kind of quick to make.

Seafood pasta with courgette
Seafood pasta

Ingredients for seafood pasta.

  • 1 cup of farfalle pasta
  • 1 medium size courgette
  • 250 g of prawns
  • 1/2 tea spoon of salt
  • pinch of black pepper
  • 1 medium size red pepper
  • 1/2 tea spoon of freshly chopped chili pepper
  • 1 table spoon of olive oil or butter
  • 200 g of cod
  • 1/2 cup of cream 12% (or double cream)

How to prepare seafood pasta.

Pour the olive oil into a frying pan, add red pepper cut into strips, courgette cut thinly (I used a peeler, which gave me nice, tinny strips) and chopped chili. Fry together over medium heat for about 5 minutes. Next, add the fish. Fry for another minute. At the end pour the cream, add the shrimp and salt and pepper for taste. Keep on the heat for another 3 minutes, but not longer than that so the shrimp would not become overcooked.

Cook the pasta in salted water (about 1 tablespoon of salt for 2 liters of water and 8-9 minutes). Once done and still hot mix with the sauce.

Enjoy!

Good to know when making seafood pasta.

If you like you can add some Parmesan but not necessarily. You can also lightly sprinkle it with parsley.
