Yellow beans with butter and breadcrumbs
Today, the queen of our table is green beans.
Breadcrumbs are only an add-on and only in dry version 🙂
You don’t need a huge variety of ingredients to make this dish.
And it’s really cool that you can make something so good at such little cost.
These beans can be served as an addition to other dishes but not necessarily. Served by itself it can also replace the main dish.
At home, I prepare this vegetable only in high season because it is best when the ingredients are fresh. I would definitely not make it from frozen. It has neither the taste nor the consistency of fresh ones.
These days you can get fresh veg in the shops. I think it is worth grabbing them and serving them once for dinner.

Ingredients for beans with butter.
- 300 g yellow beans
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 50 g butter or olive oil
- 2 tablespoons of breadcrumbs
How to prepare yellow beans with butter.
Clean the beans, cut off the ends and cook them in water with one spoonful of salt. I cooked mine for 10 minutes until they got soft.
After cooking, drain them. Meanwhile, melt the butter in a pan.
When it is already smooth, add the breadcrumbs. Cook the breadcrumbs on the butter on low heat for 30 seconds.
Pour the cooked breadcrumbs over the gently warm yellow beans.
Enjoy!

Good to know when making beans with breadcrumbs.
Serve only while it is still warm. Cold lose their taste.
I used butter without lactose because of my intolerance. Of course, you can use regular butter as well.
