Grilled sweetcorn is one of those vegetables that you have to make during the barbecue season. Its preparation is very easy, because apart from the cob of corn, you only need a grill or a grill pan. I recommend a little salt and butter to serve the sweetcorn with, and that’s it, you’re ready to make grilled corn.
Corn can be grilled on a garden grill or in a grill pan. If you choose the first, you can do it with the husk and there is no need to season it, but it is good to rinse it with water beforehand. Once done, place the corn on a very well heated grill and grill it for a little over 20 minutes. If you prefer grilling in a pan, you can still grill it with the husk, but I would rather suggest removing it. Rub the corn with a little oil and grill it covered.
There is no need to pre-cook the corn before grilling, but if you want it to grill faster, you can do so. I grill raw, young corn, because they get grilled quickly and they are soft afterwards.
Grilled corn can be served with butter and salt, sprinkled with chopped parsley or chili. It is also a great ingredient to use in salads, soups and creams. Who hasn’t done it yet, I recommend the below recipe for grilled sweetcorn.

How to prepare grilled sweetcorn.
Remove the husk from the corn and rub the cob with oil. Put the grill pan on the heat and heat it up very well. Once the pan is hot, reduce the heat to medium and place the corn cobs on. Grill the corns for 20-25 minutes in a pan almost covered, with the lid only slightly open. While grilling, the corn should be turned from time to time, so that all sides can bake evenly. Serve the grilled corn brushed with butter and sprinkled with salt.

Good to know when making grilled sweetcorn.
I was grilling whole cobs of corn, but you can also cut them in half. This will allow you to brown the majority of the corn quicker.
If you are not sure whether your corn is soft or not, just stick a toothpick in it. If the toothpick easily penetrates the grains, it means that they are already soft enough.
