Mushrooms with garlic and thyme is a vegetarian dish that works well as a side dish and a snack. It is a simple dish, because it is made from a few ingredients only, and its preparation does not require any particular skills. The main ingredients of this dish are mushrooms, fried with thyme and olive oil. When frying the mushrooms I do not add water to them, because mushrooms contain lots of it and they will release it during frying. When the mushrooms are a bit soft, I add garlic, butter and spices, then continue frying for a while until the mushrooms are tender. I serve fried mushrooms with bread or as an addition to meats. I recommend you the following recipe for garlic mushrooms and I hope you enjoy it.

Good to know when making garlic mushrooms.
Small pieces of mushroom will work best in this dish. If you cannot buy them, then the larger pieces should be cut in half or four parts. I did not wash the mushrooms, I only cleaned them with a paper towel.
Stir the fried mushrooms from time to time. I fry them on a medium-sized hob over medium heat at the beginning, and after adding the garlic and butter, I reduce the heat to small.
You can replace the fresh thyme with dried thyme.
