Even during the winter season, eating vegetables is important, and red cabbage is available in the shop throughout the year – so why not have this light salad, which goes very well with rice and chicken with mozzarella, and recall the taste of summer?
Ingredients for making red cabbage salad.
- 1 small red cabbage
- 2 small shallots
- 1 apple
- 1 big red bell pepper
- 1 carrot
- 1 flat teaspoon of salt
- a pinch of black pepper
- 1 tablespoon of apple vinegar
- 5 tablespoons of mayonnaise
How to make cabbage and bell pepper salad.
Cut the stem out and slice the cabbage into small strips.
Peel the apple and grate it. Wash the bell pepper and cut it into strips.
Cut the onion into small cubes. Grate carrots on a grater.
Mix the cut vegetables in a bowl, add salt, pepper, apple cider vinegar and mayonnaise. Mix thoroughly.
Cool in the fridge.
Good to know when making cabbage salad.
You can replace the red cabbage with white cabbage.
I used shallot onion because it is definitely milder in taste than white or red ones.
