My suggestion for Sunday’s cake is a vegan chocolate cake with apples.
Vegan cakes of course differ slightly from standard ones that you might bake on a daily basis.
The main difference is that they do not contain any animal products, so eggs, milk, cheese, and yogurt are not an option here. You’ll need to replace all these components with substitutes.
You also need to make sure that the baking powder, gelatin and other additives are also vegan-friendly.
Vegan cakes are definitely not for everyone, but why not try them from time to time?
I also prepared the following pastry using millet flour, which does not contain gluten.

Bon Appetit 🙂
Place the ground flaxseed in a cup and pour boiling water over them, mix and leave them for 10 minutes to swell.
Place caster sugar and coconut oil in a bowl. Stir with a mixer for 3 – 4 minutes then add the flaxseeds, orange juice and milk. Mix for another 2 – 3 minutes. Afterwards, add the flour, cocoa and baking powder all sifted through the sieve. Mix for a few minutes until all ingredients are properly combined.
Peel the apple and cut it into small pieces.
Grease the baking tin with margarine. You can also line it with baking paper.
Pour the finished cake mixture onto the baking tray and insert the apple pieces into it.
Heat the oven to 170 degrees Celsius. Bake the cake for 35 to 40 minutes.
Sprinkle the baked cake with coconut flakes.
The baking tin I used was round and had a diameter of 18 centimetres.
The apple can be replaced by pear, plums, cherries or pineapple.
