They can be a great appetiser, but they also go finely as an addition to meats, especially beef.
Properly prepared onion rings should be soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside.
White onion is the best to prepare it from, which has has a more delicate taste than standard yellow onions.
Onion rings are really fast and are very cheap to prepare because, as you know, onion is not the most expensive vegetable in the world.
If you decide to serve them separately by themselves, for example as an appetizer, you can serve them with a sauce made from sour cream and freshly cut onion – it tastes delicious.
If served them as an addition to other dishes, they are great with fried beef or grilled chicken.

Slice the onions into rings of a width of one centimetre and separate them. Salt with a tablespoon of salt and put them aside for 10 minutes.
Pour eggs into a bowl, add milk and whisk. Pour breadcrumbs into a separate bowl and flour in another.
Coat the onion rings first in the flour, then in the egg and finally in the breadcrumbs.
Pour oil into a frying pan and heat it up. Once oil is warm, place the onion rings on it and fry on a medium heat until golden brown.
Place the fried rings on a plate lined with a paper towel to drain the excess oil from them.
You can use different types of onions to prepare onion rings. Depending on how intense flavour you go for , you can choose between white, gold or red onion. The bigger the onion is the better as you can make more and bigger rings.
