In today’s world we are all in a hurry and it is difficult to provide the body with the required amount of vitamins by eating fruit and vegetables regularly. Fruit cocktails may come to our aid here.

A fruit cocktail is a liquid mix of vegetables and fruits with toppings. The basis of the cocktail is any fluid we choose. It can be milk (including coconut, almond, soy), yogurt, kefir, tea, coffee, fruit juice, water and coconut water.

Extras for our cocktail can be, among others, chia beans, spices such as cayenne pepper, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, oatmeal or peanut butter.

You can make a different cocktail every day, the ingredients are all up to you and what you’re in the mood for.

Cocktails are a great way to “smuggle” fruit or vegetables you don’t like in your diet. Combined with your favourites they will be almost imperceptible in taste.

Good to know when making fruit and veg cocktail.

I made green tea from one tea bag. Let it cool down before adding it to the cocktail.

I added only a small teaspoon of honey as the cocktail should not be overly sweet. You can replace honey with maple syrup, agave syrup or molasses.
