Dried fruit compote
Compote is a fruit drink made from fruits such as apples, strawberries, raspberries, cherries, peaches and rhubarb. It can be served hot or cold. In the summer, compote is made from fresh fruits and is usually served cold. On hot days, it quenches thirst perfectly. However, in the winter and autumn, the basis of the compote is mostly dried fruits. Dried compote is an indispensable element of Christmas Eve and must not be missing from the Christmas Eve table.
For the preparation of dried fruit compote, you can use a mixture of dried fruits or bet on one specific fruit. I like to make Christmas compote from apples, plums and apricots. Often, I add other fruits and spices to it, such as cloves and cinnamon. I recommend the following recipe for dried fruit compote and I hope that you will enjoy it.
