Plums are among those fruits that can be used to prepare both sweet and savoury dishes. They work great not only in cakes but also as an ingredient for many meaty dishes. With plums I sometimes stuff ham, make a sauce to go with loin steak or stuff pork chops. In the dish below, I combined plums with minced beef. I also added some ketchup and tomato sauce, which together with the plums made a delicious sauce.

I used soft plums, which fell apart completely while stewing, creating a delicious sauce. You can go for any type of plum, e.g. Hungarian, Amers or Empress.
Beef can be replaced with pork or poultry.
