I usually make oven baked chicken wings. I marinate them for a few hours in paprika, garlic and an oil marinade, then bake them. Yesterday though, I decided to make them a little bit differently. I made a beer based batter in which I coated the wings and after that I fried them on oil. I served the wings with a spicy chili sauce.

How to make chicken wings in beer batter.
Put the wings, a tablespoon of salt and water in a pot. Boil for 20 minutes, then drain the water and cool down the wings.
Crack an egg into a bowl. Add salt, baking powder, beer and the sieved flour. Mix to a uniform consistency (preferably with a hand whisk).
Sprinkle the cold chicken wings with flour. Heat the oil in a deep pot or a frying pan. Coat the floured wings in the beer batter and immediately put them in the hot oil. Fry on a medium heat until golden brown. Take out the baked wings and place them on a paper towel to drain the oil.

Good to know when making chicken wings.
For frying I used sunflower oil. There should be a lot of it in a pot. The wings have to float freely in it. During frying, the wings must be turned over so that both sides are well fried.
After dipping the floured wings in the beer batter, immediately put them in the hot oil.
