Sprinkled apple cake
Fancy a quick fruit cake? If apples are an option, I recommend making this apple cake in the recipe below.

I made this sprinkled apple cake last Sunday. Let me tell you, it was one of those cakes that requires neither too much work on my part nor too many ingredients.
To prepare the sprinkled apple cake, I used breadcrumbs, a little butter and of course apples. I didn’t add eggs or flour.
The icing on the cake were the almond flakes with which I sprinkled the cake.

How to make sprinkled apple cake.
Grate the apples on a large-mesh grater, put them in a bowl, add crystal sugar, mix and set them aside for 15 minutes.
Melt the butter in the microwave.
Line a baking tin with baking paper, then pour 1/3 part of the breadcrumbs on the bottom of it and cover it with 1/2 part of the grated apples. Sprinkle the apples with the breadcrumbs and layer the remaining apples. Sprinkle the last 1/3 of the breadcrumbs over them. Pour the melted butter over the top part of the cake then sprinkle with almond flakes.

Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and let it cool down. Serve with whipped cream on the side.
