Gluten-free bars with figs
Homemade bars are a great way to combine your favourite fruit with oatmeal. Depending on the ingredients you use, they can be healthy or caloric. The bars in the recipe below are super fit. They do not contain any sugar, gluten or lactose. Happy baking 🙂

Ingredients for gluten-free bars.
- 400 g gluten-free oats
- 150 ml oat milk
- 40 g coconut oil
- 2 tablespoons of flax seeds
- 3 big figs (200 g)
- 80 g erythritol
How to make gluten-free bars.
Heat the milk and coconut oil in a pot. Once heated, remove the pot from the heat and add flaxseed and erythritol. Mix and set it aside for 15 minutes. Afterwards, add the diced figs and the oatmeal and mix again. Transfer the mixture on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and gently press it with your hands. Put the baking tin in an oven preheated to 180 degrees Celsius for 35 minutes. Once the bars are baked, remove the tin from the oven and let it stand for 30 minutes, then cut them into 7 by 4.5 (approximately) centimetre pieces. Finally, let them cool down completely.

Good to know when making gluten-free bars.
The figs you use for these bars should be very ripe. Such figs are soft and extremely sweet.
The baking tin that I used had measurements of 17.5 by 26 centimetres.
