Chia dessert in a cup
A dessert that is perfect not only as breakfast, but also as an after-dinner sweet treat.
This simple dessert is made from coconut milk, combined with oat and honey. Healthy chia seeds and fresh fruit are also added to it. It took me less than 10 minutes to prepare the entire dessert.
Chia seeds, or Spanish sage, is a plant whose grains are very popular, especially these days. They are rich in fibre, protein, zinc, phosphorus and magnesium, as well as a whole range of other minerals. So you can see why it is worth having them as often as possible.
I placed the dessert in the fridge to cool it down as I prefer it cold. You don’t have to do this, especially if you serve it for breakfast, in which case it will taste better slightly warm.

How to make chia dessert with fruits.
Heat up the milk, add oats and chia seeds. Bring it to boil and cook over a medium heat for 1 minute. Remove it from the heat and add honey. If you serve the dessert cold, let it cool down for a few minutes.
Serve the dessert with fresh fruits such as raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, bananas or kiwi.
Good to know when making chia dessert.

The dessert was quite thick, so if you’d rather have more liquid consistency add a little more milk or less oat.
