An incredibly simple recipe for banoffee pie, which is a combination of blended biscuits with dulce de leche, thick banana slices and whipped cream. After trying a piece, you will have a hard time tearing yourself away from this pie 🙂 I recommend banoffee pie to all those who like quick pies with no-baking. Ingredients for banoffee pie.

Biscuit base:

  • 250 g butter biscuits
  • 150 g melted butter, cooled down

Cream:

  • 500 g dulce de leche
  • 3 bananas
  • 400 ml cold whipping cream (36%)
  • 2 tablespoons of grated milk chocolate

How to make banoffee pie.

Pour the blended biscuits into a large bowl, add the liquid butter and mix until the ingredients are well combined. Line the bottom and sides of the tart pan with the biscuits mix, pressing everything down well with a spoon and then with your hand. Put the dulce de leche in the microwave for a few seconds so it develops a liquid consistency. Once liquid, pour it over the biscuits in the tray and level with a spoon. Place thick banana slices on the dulce de leche. Put the pie in the fridge for 30 minutes to allow the biscuits base to harden slightly.

Pour cold whipping cream into a larger container and whip until stiff. Spread the whipped cream over the bananas, then sprinkle the whole thing with finely grated chocolate. Store the pie in the refrigerator before serving.

Good to know when making banoffee pie.

The metal tart pan that I used had a diameter of 26 centimetres.

Blend the biscuits in a food processor or place them in a plastic bag and crush them using a pestle.
