Baked pears with cheese
In autumn, the selection of fresh fruits is limited, but there are enough of them to create something delicious. One of the most popular fruits you can go for during autumn is undoubtedly apples, but pears do not differ too much in taste and work just as well in simple desserts and cakes. In the recipe below, I used pears: I baked them with blue cheese, cranberries and pecans. This dish is perfect for dessert or served as a snack. Desserts don’t always have to be sweet. Savoury ones may be less popular but can be equally tasty. Those who love the combination of sweet and salty flavours will love these juicy pears filled with savoury filling.

Ingredients for baked pears with cheese.
- 2 big sweet and soft pears
- 100 g blue cheese
- 1 tablespoon of cranberries
- 1 tablespoon of pecans or walnuts
- 1,5 tablespoons of honey and agave syrup
- 1 tablespoon of oil

How to make baked pears with cheese.
Cut the washed and dried pears in half lengthwise and remove the seeds using a fruit spoon. Combine the agave syrup and oil in a bowl, then brush each pear half thoroughly. Place the pears with the skin side up in a baking dish and put them in the oven preheated to 190 degrees Celsius for 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, in a bowl, combine the diced blue cheese with cranberries and coarsely chopped nuts. Carefully remove the baked pears from the oven and fill them with the blue cheese, cranberries and pecans. Put the stuffed pears in the oven again, this time for 20 minutes and at a temperature of 190 degrees Celsius. Serve the pears immediately after baking, while they are still hot or warm.
