Cabbage slaw Chinese style
Cabbage slaw Chinese style, i.e. savoy cabbage with carrot, green onion and a dressing based on soy sauce, rice vinegar and ginger. The crunchiness of the slaw is added by pistachios and sesame seeds, which combine phenomenally with both the vegetables used to prepare the slaw and the dressing. This simple cabbage slaw will be perfect for dinner as an addition to meat and fish. Below are some suggestions for meat dishes that go well with this cabbage slaw.

Good to know when making cabbage slaw Chinese style.
The savoy cabbage can be replaced with Chinese cabbage or regular cabbage. Of course, young cabbage is the best because it is both juicy and crunchy.
Instead of fresh chili pepper, you can use chili flakes or ground hot paprika powder. In this case, you should only add a pinch of chilli flakes or ground paprika.
The pistachios can be replaced with peanuts. To slightly enhance their flavour, you can roast the nuts before adding them to the slaw. The same applies to sesame seeds, which also taste nice when lightly roasted.
