Smoked fish are not only delicious but also very healthy, people should eat them as much as possible. Here is a recipe that will definitely make you want to stick to that habit.
Smoked mackerel has a very intense flavour. Because of that this is probably not on everyone’s top 10.
I have to tell you though, that in combination with the ingredients I used for the spread, the taste of mackerel was milder.
Both onions and lemon gave it a very fresh, expressive but not too intense flavour.

Peel the onion and chop it into small pieces. Blend the mackerel meat, mustard, pepper, salt, lemon juice and cream in a blender. When the mixture has a creamy consistency, add the chopped onion. Carry on blending for 5 more seconds.
Serve with bread.
Mackerel can be replaced with any kind of smoked fish such as salmon, halibut or trout.
