Do you like it or not, have you ever made it?

I know from experience that there are people out there who, once they see the word brain in the recipe title, would not want to try the recipe out.

I do not belong to those people.

I admit that so far I have eaten pork brain prepared only in the way I am sharing with you today. It is possible, however, that in the future I will try another recipe for this little rarity 🙂

If you decide to try this recipe, I encourage you to share your comments under the comment sections.

Bon Appetit 🙂

  • Ingredients:

    • 1 i 1/2 spoons of butter
    • 1 small onion
    • pinch of salt
    • pinch of white pepper

  • Clean the brains from membranes, then soak in water for 20 minutes. Drain the water afterwards.

Melt the butter in a pot and add finely chopped onion. Fry on a low heat for 3 minutes. After that, add the pork brains, salt and pepper. Continue frying for another 3 minutes. Keep stirring occasionally. Serve with toast.

Pork brains fall to pieces during frying. Its consistency will be similar to that of scrambled eggs. There is no reason to be discouraged from that, that is the way it should be.

If you do not like onions, you can skip it and fry the brains only in butter with the addition of a small amount of salt and pepper.
