This week I’m on a diet. It is not exactly one of those super-healthy ones where you have to deny yourself delicious food.
My diet is based on eating less food and not eating anything after seven o’clock in the evening.
I decided that since I am already on a diet, I will try to reduce the amount of sweets that I eat significantly.
However, I can not be deprived of the pleasure of eating sweet snacks till the end of my diet.
This how I came to the idea of making some “healthy” confectionery and bake some oat bars. I must say that objectively speaking the bars came out delicious. I’m even a little surprised that something so simple can taste so brilliantly.
If you decide to try this recipe, I encourage you to share your photos under the comment section.
Bon Appetit 🙂
- 3 bananas
- 3 spoons of almond flakes
- 150 ml of yogurt
- 2 cups of oats
- 4 spoons of caramel
Blend two bananas with yogurt. Once done mix it with oats, 2 tablespoons of flaked almonds and 2 tablespoons of caramel. Put on a medium sized baking tray. Slice up the remaining banana and place the slices on the top of the cake. Bake for 30 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius.
After removing from the oven, cover the cake with the caramel and sprinkle it with the flaked almonds.
Almonds can be replaced with walnuts, hazelnuts, raisins, cranberries or sunflower seeds.
